4.Attributes:
1) Phosphate chemicals are used commercially in fertilizers, animal feeds, and industrial products, and as additives in food.
2) Calcium phosphates, the most widely used phosphate supplements, supply essential minerals for the development of strong teeth and bones in livestock, poultry, and pets.
3) Feed-grade calcium phosphates include dicalcium phosphate (DCP), monocalcium phosphate (MCP), and tricalcium phosphate (TCP).
4) Di-Calcium Phosphate (DCP) is a type of calcium phosphate which is dibasic. It is usually found as dihydrate, but can be thermally converted into an anhydrous form.
5) Feed phosphates are used mainly in the poultry and swine sectors, and to a much lower extent in cattle feed. Poultry production consumes more phosphorus than any other meat source.
5.Notice to farmers!
1) Livestock farmers handling drugs must be cautious about the drugs and commit to the judicious management, use, and administration of antimicrobials.
2) In addition to this, farmers should promote routine health programs that prevent disease. This will save the farmers the stress and money involved in purchasing medicaments.
3) The farm management systems, biosecurity, vaccination programs, nutrition, and hygiene should be strengthened.
4) You should make a selection of antibiotics after proper consultation at a diagnostic laboratory or a veterinarian.
5) The withdrawal periods of each drug should be strictly followed.
